Popular Wellington restaurant Nikau is known for their fresh, organic meals, their daily baked bread, and sweet treats from their in-house bakery. Kelda Hains is the head chef and co-owner and has been taking Nikau from strength to strength for the last 20 years. Kelda believes that good food should take time. We don’t know how she has any spare time as she has Nikau, writes books, and also co-owns another successful Wellington restaurant - ‘Rita’.
