Chlöe Swarbrick is a local and queer icon. We celebrate her and the incredible moment when she reclaimed the hate speech graffiti on her hoarding (which she replied, “well, yeah”). That incredible moment started a cultural movement as our sapphic community rallied to get their own now iconic ‘WÖKE LESBO’ shirt, and take the power from a slur and reclaim it back for themselves. We at Crushes are not only proud but honoured to be a part of this piece of lesbian history (you can even visit our tees at the Charlotte Museum down the road, if you miss out on this drop again!).
