Yep, some of our candle prices are going up - just a little bit! But it’s not just us. Wanna know what's behind the smoke of The Big Worldwide Candle Industry? lol:
Across the globe, candle makers—especially those using natural and sustainable ingredients like soy wax—are facing rising costs. Soy crops have been impacted by weather events and global demand, pushing up prices for the raw materials we all rely on. Add that to the rising cost of everything from manufacturing to delivery, and it’s become harder for small producers everywhere to keep prices where they were.
But as candle lovers (and regular shoppers) ourselves, we totally get the sting of seeing something you always buy suddenly cost more. No heads up. No reason. Just a new price tag.
Along with sustainability, transparency is huge for us and we believe you deserve to know what you’re paying for. We’re not here to quietly change the price and hope you don’t notice. We want to talk about it!
So yes, the price of our candles are going up by only five pingers, but here's what's not changing:
- The quality! Our Auckland manufacturer makes all of the candles for top brands around the country says "Crushes candle is the same luxury candle as these top brands but for a fraction of the price" - love that for us!
- Still poured by hand right here in Tāmaki Makaurau.
- Recyclable packaging of glass + aluminium + paper
Even with the price rise, they’re still what we set out to make from the beginning—quality candles you can afford to burn.
