Zine Making with Auckland ZineFest!
The Auckland ZineFest is a great community and market-day event that we have admired for so long! It is our joy to host them for a Zine Making Crash Course!
What to expect;
- Zines 101 – a quick intro to zines, their history & importance.
- Practice Activity – Make a collaborative zine with everyone to practice & let loose.
- Zine Binding & Construction – Learn saddle stitch binding, basic booklet tips and handy techniques for zine making.
- Zine Binding & Construction – Learn about paper, binding methods, and zine construction techniques.
- 60-Minute Zine Challenge – Write, cut, paste, draw a zine in 60 minutes using a randomly selected prompt as inspo.
When?
11am - 1pm, July 19th, at Crushes 235 Karangahape Road
This is apart of Crushes Social Club, an event programme that is designed to bring together Aucklands creative community.
Our shop started Crushes Social Club as a way to bring like-minded people together. It's where creativity and community converge. Whether it's our famous Crushes Clothes Swap, a monthly meet up like Knitting Club, or a craft-based workshop, we provide a welcoming, relaxed environment and something to do in Tāmaki Makaurau.
